It was around the early Thirties when Pedro Montañés, a craftsman in cheese making from Minorca, had the excellent idea of melting his traditional Mahón cheese in the way it was done in Switzerland at the time, achieving a delicious flavour and a unique soft texture. That is how, in January 1931, the first processed cheese portions arrived in all Spanish homes bearing Industrial Quesera Menoquina’s leading brand. Since then, Quesería Menorquina has produced millions of cheese portions and slices, those we have always known and that have become part of many generations’ gastronomic memories.

Today Quesería Menorquina continues producing the best processed cheese in portions, slices and grated format, basing their elaboration in a profound knowledge and long experience, and applying the highest exigency and quality standards.

With production at almost 20% of the national market, it is present in practically that of the whole peninsular (Spain and Portugal) through the leading distributor chains.
