This standard has its origin in the concern of major European distributors to ensure the innocuousness of products and is now a prestigious food safety standard that distributor chains demand that their suppliers fulfil. Determined to highlight the relevance of food safety, Quesería Menorquina was the first company in Balearic Islands to obtain, in 2009, the ‘Higher Level’ IFS certification, which is the highest in food safety.
